Schumpeterian new world demands a radical change in firm behaviour
– by  Ribhu Ranjan Baruah
Globally, firms – big and small – have started to undertake going-green steps as a part of their CSR initiatives. They will now have to think and act fast and ahead of the competition in a way that is sustainable, from the environmental perspective. Are these firms ready to embrace the new scheme of things? Will new leaders emerge and traditional companies get wiped out? So what are the new fundamental questions? A relevant question would be – how green is my product and the way my firm operates?
Scale is now a clear differentiator for LPOs: Is a shake-out imminent?
– by Arun Jethmalani
Back in 2005, outsourcing of legal services was a “hot” new service line with much promise. In late 2010, a ValueNotes survey of buyers in the US and UK revealed signs of disillusionment amongst customers. The higher risks inherent in projects prompted buyers to start favouring larger, more experienced and “sustainable” vendors. Our latest research reveals the financial impact of all these trends on “pure-play” Indian LPO vendors.
Is LED in India set for a south Indian takeover?
– by Namita Adavi
Though the adoption of LED technology may be set for rapid growth overall, differences will arise on the level of penetration by geography. Growth in the next 3-5 years will come from southern India. A factor peculiar to the south is the psychological inclination for quality over price; a factor that will be very important in determining the growth of LED in the region.
